The installation of this agent is still in progress. If a computer remains in this state for an extended period of time, reject the computer from this view and retry discovery and agent installation.
For DMZ agents I've imported the RootCA, SubCA, and issued the IPSec certificate to them as well. During the SCOM Agent installation I put in the Management Group name (there is only one) and used the DMZ Gateway server as the Management Server and left the port default (5723).
To speed up Discovery of newly installed services of things you want to manage, whose MPs have already been deployed to your infrastructure, restart the SCOM AGent on that machine, so all the discoveries will kick off on that machine. How much time will it take? We will have to look at the SQL 2012 MP to find that out.
Please check operations manager event logs on the Reporting server and management sever. I would like to suggest you try to use another SCOM admin account to run report and check the result. Regards, Yan Li
someone mentioned to me that you do not have to buy a separate license for the SQL Server as long as you use the SQL Srv Standard on the same machine as the SCOM Management Server - is that correct?!
In our SCOM environment we ran the below query to find Most common events by event number and event source SELECT top 5 Number as EventID, COUNT (*) AS TotalEvents, Publishername as EventSource
I have implemented logshipping for the OpsDB and DataWarehouse for DR purposes. I have deployed and configured reporting in site 1. I am now at the stage where I am to configure reporting in site 2 (this is purely for DR). When installing SCOM Reporting in the DR site I obviously can't choose the WarehouseDB_DR instance since it is read-only.
To auto close a Remedy Case spawn by SCOM Alert, there is a field to populate how long was the alert open until closed. Is there a way to pull the Alert Age in minutes, from the SCOM Alert?
