The College Football Playoff first round will see the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels (11-1) hosting the No. 21 Tulane Green Wave (11-2) at 3:30 p.m. ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Ole Miss is the favorite in the matchup, by 17.5 points.

It is very plausible the majority of the populations of Mississippi and Louisiana will be tuned in when Ole Miss and Tulane kick off Saturday afternoon in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Tulane is located in New Orleans, La. It was founded in 1834 as Medical College of Louisiana, but became private under the endowments of Paul Tulane and Josephine Louise Newcomb in 1884 and 1887. It became known as Tulane University in 1884.
