Donald Trump chimed in again on 60 Minutes, CBS and Paramount, this time complaining that the newsmagazine has treated him “far worse” since the David Ellison-led takeover of the company. He wrote on Truth Social,

President Donald Trump expressed unhappiness with the owners of Paramount Skydance Corp. over CBS News coverage of his presidency.

Stephen Colbert questioned why The Late Show was canceled for financial reasons when Paramount is making a $108 billion bid for Warner Bros. Discovery. Colbert highlighted the irony of Paramount’s massive offer, especially since CBS claimed the show lost $40 million annually.

Media mogul Shari Redstone said on Wednesday that Paramount made the "right decision" by agreeing to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit filed by U.S. President Donald Trump against CBS over a "60 Minutes" interview.

I got to say, if my company’s got that kind of green, I’m sure they can afford to uncancel one of their best shows,’ Colbert says.

The eye-popping numbers led Late Show host Stephen Colbert to muse about the Paramount bid during his monologue Tuesday night. (Paramount owns CBS, which airs The Late Show. )

The president’s screed comes a week after he melted down over a 60 Minutes interview with Trump loyalist turned foe Marjorie Taylor Greene, grousing that the broadcast showed that Paramount chairman David Ellison – whom he has repeatedly praised as a “great person” was “NO BETTER THAN THE OLD OWNERSHIP.”

Earlier this year, Skydance acquired Paramount, the parent company of CBS News. Company leadership has since placed Bari Weiss in charge. Weiss famously resigned from the New York Times to form The Free Press and has positioned herself as a supporter of free speech and traditional journalism.
